This recipe is one of our go-to dishes when we want to keep things relaxed and simple. We love making these loaded fries on a Friday night, especially after a long week when we just want to unwind. They’re perfect for when we’re planning to sit on the couch, binge-watch our favorite shows, or settle in for a movie marathon.

The best part? They’re quick to make but still feel like a special treat. The combination of crispy fries, flavorful beef, gooey melted cheese, and a variety of sauces is always a crowd-pleaser. We like to top ours with a drizzle of mayo, ketchup, sriracha sauce for a little heat, and some creamy guacamole to balance it all out. Remember to add your favorite wine to the mix, here is our favorite wine!

Ingredients:

  • Oven-baked French fries
  • 500g beef mince
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Turkish BBQ spice
  • 1 can of diced Italian tomatoes
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
  • Crunchy fried onions (optional for garnish)
  • Mayo, ketchup, and sriracha sauce, for drizzling
  • Guacamole, for extra flavor

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fries:
    • Cook your oven-baked fries according to the package instructions or until golden and crispy.
  2. Add the Cheese:
    • As soon as the fries come out of the oven, sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over them.
    • Place the fries back in the oven for a few minutes until the cheese is fully melted.
  3. Cook the Beef:
    • Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
    • Add the diced onion and sauté until soft and translucent.
    • Add the beef mince and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
    • Season with salt, pepper, and the Turkish BBQ spice.
    • Stir in the diced tomatoes and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes until well combined.
  4. Assemble the Loaded Fries:
    • Remove the fries from the oven with the melted cheese.
    • Spoon the beef mixture evenly over the cheesy fries.
    • Drizzle with mayo, ketchup, and sriracha sauce to your taste.
    • Add dollops of guacamole on top for extra creaminess.
    • Garnish with fresh basil leaves and crunchy fried onions, if desired.
  5. Serve:
    • Enjoy immediately while the fries are hot, cheesy, and flavorful!

This dish is perfect for those chill nights when you want something satisfying but not complicated. It’s quick, customizable, and absolutely delicious. Perfect for sharing (or not)!
